DELO Computer GmbH, located in Recklinghausen, counts on reason of its long-standing experience to the leading IT distributors in Germany today.

A market position which we have obtained by a consequent putting into action of clearly defined strategies and long-standing partnerships with leading IT manufacturers worldwide.

More than 6,000 specialized traders are meanwhile loyal customers of DELO Computer GmbH and make a significant contribution to our success. That is the reason why we know what counts in the field of specialized trading and therefore we line our strategies and synergy up to this aim.

A qualified product sourcing,uncompromisingly aiming at the demands of the market, is the guarantor for an always up-to date product portfolio on a high quality level and of course with an optimal price performance ratio.

Chronology of DELO

In 1987 DELO Computer GbR (civil law partnership ) was founded by Peter and Detlef Löffers in Dortmund. Two years later it was turned into a oHG (general partnership)

In 1991 DELO enters into its first exclusive distribution contract with CalComp, a producer of drawing boards.

In 1992 there were two significant changes due to the considerable growth- firstly DELO was turned into a GmbH(company of limited liability) and then moved to a combined office and warehouse building in Recklinghausen.

In 1995 the first own brand of DELO Computer GmbH was launched –STEP ELECTRONIC. Since then PC systems and classical CRT monitors have been produced and distributed under this successful brand.

In 1999 head office moved to the new location (which is still the same today) in Lise- Meitner -Str. 1 in Recklinghausen, due to the increase in the turnover.

In 2000 DELO employs 75 employees and becomes active in the field of sport sponsoring. Since that time, DELO has been a loyal partner of the premier league football club Borussia Dortmund.

In 2001 the internal magazine of DELO Computer GmbH “News Flash” was published for the first time. From that day customers have been provided with interesting first hand offers and information monthly.

In 2002 the new logistics centre with a size of 3000m2 was opened officially. The decision to move to the industrial area in Lise-Meitner-Str. paid off – it was built opposite to the head office.

In 2005 DELO invites guests to the first trade fair at its head office with the motto “touch and feel”. More than 500 partners of specialized traders participate.

In 2007 DELO Computer GmbH looks back at 20 years of successful IT distribution. An exclusive trade fair at the head office was initiated to celebrate this anniversary adequately.

In 2009 DELO changes its merchandise information system. By doing that, the web presentation was designed in a completely different way and a multi functional order desk was implemented.
